Abstract

Based on interviews with teachers and observations of slow learner students in Grade VII at SMPN 1 Jiwan Madiun Regency, it was found that students experienced difficulties in performing prayer movements correctly. One of the contributing factors is the lack of instructional media that meets the specific needs of slow learner students. Therefore, this study aimed to design the development of a prayer movement learning guide based on Word wall games to enable students to perform prayer movements according to their abilities, assess the validation results of the prayer movement guide game, and describe the students’ performance in executing the prayer movements using the developed game. This research employed a development research method, involving stages such as preliminary study, model development, and limited-scale testing. The expert validation results of the prayer movement guide game yielded an average score of 93%, indicating that the game is feasible for use in learning. The findings show that the use of the prayer movement guide game significantly improved students’ understanding and performance of prayer movements. This improvement is evidenced by the post-test results, which show an effectiveness increase of 80%.
